The master's thesis is dedicated to the investigation of ash glazes that are produced on the basis of residues from biomass power plants. In a comprehensive material study, new ways of using secondary materials in ceramics are identified.
The glazes visualise the traces of nature and man that the plants have absorbed during their growth cycle and further processing in their product cycle. Each glaze tells an individual story about the origin of the plant and its interdependence with the surrounding systems.
